Juke Joint Festival ~ Clarksdale, Mississippi

 

Every April, Clarksdale celebrates blues musicians and performers from all over Mississippi and the country. From young kids to 97-year-old performers, the festival encompasses all ages and all walks of life. For a few days, the streets are filled with live music. Venues include outdoor spaces, stores, galleries, coffee shops, lobbies, juke joints, restaurants, clubs. Anywhere and everywhere, music -- and great conversation --  is in the air.
